Dipesh
Month and Year of Birth: November 2016
Parents noticed a white reflex in the right eye in November 2017. He has been diagnosed with unilateral RB in a hospital in Bhubaneswar where enucleation of the affected eye was recommended due to the advanced Tumor. Parents couldn't accept it and consulted a doctor in Cuttack who referred them to Centre for Sight in Hyderabad. They came to CFS in January. So far, he received 5 cycles of Chemotherapy and Cryotherapy. He is responding well to the treatment and recovering.
Iksha has been supporting his treatment as parents could not afford the treatment.
Faiaz
Month and Year of Birth: November 2017
Faiaz is from West Bengal. Parents noticed a white reflex in one of his eyes and consulted a doctor who diagnosed it as RB. Parents could not continue treatment due to lack of finance. They came to Satya sai hospital, Bangalore as suggested by neighbors with the hope of receiving treatment at free of cost. Unfortunately, RB treatment is not available in Satya sai Hospital. They came to Prabha for the second opinion.
With the support of Iksha, he received 2 Chemos so far and always on time for treatment.
Karthik
Month and Year of Birth: January 2018
On 21st May parents noticed a white reflex in a picture of the child. Coincidently, on 22nd dad read an article on RB in one of the newspaper. They immediately consulted a doctor. MRI was done and the child was diagnosed with unilateral RB. They came to Narayana Netralaya on 30th May. He might need to undergo enucleation of the affected eye due to the advanced tumor. With the support of Iksha, he so Far received two cycles of chemotherapy.

Aariz
Month and Year of Birth: September 2015
Aariz was just 3 months old when parents noticed white reflex in his left eye. Due to wrong advice, he was neither diagnosed properly nor received any treatment. In April 2018, they consulted an ophthalmologist as white reflex started to grow. He was diagnosed with unilateral RB at an advanced stage. His left eye had to be enucleated immediately. Fortunately, Caner didn’t spread to the optic nerve. COP was done, and he is closely monitored to make sure cancer does not resurface.
Iksha has been supporting his treatment and wishes for a happy and healthy future.
Hithika
Month and Year of Birth: March 2015
Hithika has hurt her right eye while playing in October 2017. Ophthalmologist, they consulted prescribed eye drops. Parents noticed white reflex in the same eye within few days’ time but ignored thinking it could be due to the earlier incident. They visited an eye care hospital in Kolar in December 2017 as her eye swelled. MRI was done, and she was diagnosed with unilateral RB. They visited NN immediately as suggested on 5th December. Her right eye had been enucleated on 6th due to the advanced tumor. She further received 6 cycles of chemotherapy and recovering well. She is now on 6 months follow up.
Iksha has been supporting her treatment as the father is physically challenged and unable to support Hithika’s treatment.
Dhananjay
Month and Year of Birth: August 2014
Dhananjay is now an active 3-year-old toddler. He was only 2 years old when he was diagnosed with Bilateral RB with advanced tumor in right eye. Hopes of saving his right eye were very little. He received 15 chemos. He is now receiving topotecan injections and laser with high chances of retaining vision in both eyes. His recovery is commendable.
His parents are financially unstable with less income and with two more siblings to care.
Iksha has been supporting his treatment and wishes for his bright future.

Samrudhi
Year and Month of Birth: October 2015
Samrudhi was approximately 18-months old baby when she was diagnosed with RB. The tumor grading was placed group E and the child underwent the first cycle of chemo. She was scheduled for 2nd dose of chemo after 2-weeks. The parents have thus far failed to present the child. Sadly, Iksha's attempt to reach the parents has failed.
Namratha
Month and Year of Birth: May 2014
Namratha was diagnosed with unilateral retinoblastoma in Jan 2017 at the age of 2-years 7-months. Her right eye had to be enucleated in March 2017 due to advanced tumor.She received 3 cycles of chemotherapy and recovered well. she is now on 6-Months follow-up schedule.
Iksha has been supporting her treatment and wishes for a bright future.

Divyasree
Month and Year of Birth: November 2012
She was 3 years when she was diagnosed with RB. She received few chemos at Sri Sankara Cancer Hospital before she started treatment at NN.Her Left eye was enucleated in march 2017 at NN.She received 23 fractions of radiation in november and received 2 more chemos (post radiation) so far. Further treatment will be planned depending on her progress.
She is mostly accompanied by her father who is suffering from epilepsy and lost his tractor driver job due to his current condition.
Iksha has been providing aid for her treatment as they got no source of income.
Md Shakeeb
Month and year of birth: August 2011
Md Shakeeb, is an active and bright school going kid. A white reflex was noticed by parents in his left eye when he was 1 year 6 months old. Due to bad advice, parents did not understood the seriousness of the problem till it became life threatening. He was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma at the age of 3 and his left eye was enucleated after receiving 4 chemos. He received 4 more chemos and 31 fractions of radiation. He responded well to the treatment and recovered. Parents managed to pay for the treatment irrespective of all odds they had to go through. He is due to receive COP.
They approached Iksha for support as they could not afford treatment any more.Iksha is not only supporting his treatment but also supporting his education.

Asil Kumar
Month and Year of Birth: Feb 2014
Asil Kumar was a 2 year old baby and was diagnosed with advanced bilateral retinoblastoma. When reported to the hospital, the child was advised immediate medical care, advised chemo and enucleation at the earliest.The family resides at Chikmagalur, and are coffee estate laborers. The parents were ill-informed and very non-responsive initially. The baby was examined under anesthesia and initiated chemotherapy. It was ascertained that the baby would require to undergo 12 cycles of chemo, on 31 Aug 16 as tumour was too active and was on verge of rupturing. His condition deteriorated irrespective of care and treatment provided and we lost him in May 2017.

Basamma
Month and Year of Birth: March 2014
Basamma was 5 months old and was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma. She was recommended for chemotherapy and the first cycle was administered. However, for some unforeseen/compelling reason not known to Iksha Foundation, the parents failed to follow –up the treatment. By constant efforts by Iksha, the parents reverted back in Sep’16. This time the case had deteriorated. The tumor had proliferated into both eyes. The infant was then subjected to an increased dosage of chemotherapy commensurate with the age. After administering three cycles of chemo both her eyes were enucleated on 7th Dec 2016. She received 6 cycles of chemo and closely monitored.

Vikram naik
Month and Year of Birth: March 2015
Vikram naik was three when he was presented to Iksha in March 2017. He underwent MRI at Narayana Netralaya and was diagnosed with unilateral RB. His right eye had to be enucleated after 3 three cycles of chemo as he did not respond well to the treatment. His pathology report is clear and recovering well now.
Father is a daily wage labour and mother is a housewife. Iksha has been providing aid for his treatment and wishes for speedy recovery.

Fathima Zihana
Month and Year of Birth: May 2016
Fathima Zihana (1 year),Came to us when she was 3 months old. MRI was done and diagnosed bilateral RB. She was advised for chemotherapy and focal laser. She received 6 cycles of chemo before her left eye was removed due to advanced tumour. She is followed up closely now and recovering well.
Family is from Mangalore and belongs to below poverty line. Iksha has been supporting her treatment.

Ram
Month and Year of Birth: Sep 2014
Ram's parents noticed a white spot in left eye when he was 17 months old. MRI was done at Narayana Netralaya and his left eye was enucleated immediately due to the advanced tumor. The pathology report showed optic nerve involvement. He received 7 cycles of chemo and 26 fractions of radiation. Irrespective of treatment and care given, due to cancer spread to the brain we lost him in the month of March 2018.
