Abhiram
Month and Year of Birth: April 2016
Abhiram( 18 months old) was just 6 months old when his parents noticed a white spot in his right eye. A pediatrician from Bellary suspected it as RB and suggested them to go to Bangalore for better treatment. They visited Prabha eye clinic in October 2016. He underwent MRI and was diagnosed with bilateral Retinoblastoma.
His father is a farm laborer, approached IKSHA as they were in need of financial support for treatment.
So far, he received 7 cycles of chemotherapy and responded well to the treatment.
He now got busy in exploring things around him as his left eye vision improved but still undergoing treatment for the right eye.
Iksha has been providing aid for his treatment and wishes for his speedy recovery.

Keerthana
Month and Year of Birth: June 2012
Keerthana, a 5 year old talkative sweet little girl from Bangalore was diagnosed with unilateral RB when she was 4 year old. She received 6 cycles of chemotherapy and right eye was enucleated in August 2016 because of advanced tumor. She responded well to the treatment and now on 6 months follow up schedule.
Parents were daily wage labourers. While father continued his work to support family, mother left her work to take care of keerthana. Their struggle for past one year paid off as she is all set to go to school.
Iksha, while providing complete aid for her treatment, also actively working to support and fund her education to enable bright future for her.

Yshaswini
Month and Year of Birth: Oct 2016
Yashaswini(10-months), was just one month old when a white reflex was noticed in the eye by her parents. She was referred to Narayana Netralaya by an ophthalmologist in Mysore. The Child underwent EUA, MRI and was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma with group E in both eyes.
Father Mr. Ganesh, a laborer in a cinema at Nanjangud and Mother Mrs. Lakshmi, housewife approached, Iksha for aid as they could not afford the treatment.
She received 6 cycles of chemo, laser therapy and 3 shots of cryo. She showed remarkable improvement and recovering well.
She is now on 3-week follow-up and always on time for checkups.
IKSHA has been providing aid for her treatment and wishes a speedy recovery.

Yaksh Kumar
Month and Year of Birth: April 2015
In August 2016, Yaksh Kumar a 16 months old boy from Bihar was presented to Narayana Netralaya. He was diagnosed with advanced bilateral retinoblastoma on MRI.
They were referred to Iksha by the doctors as they were not in a position to afford the treatment. since then, Iksha has been providing aid for his treatment.
So far, he received 9 cycles of chemotherapy. His right eye responded well to the treatment but left eye was enucleated in June 2017. Currently, he is on 3 weeks follow-up schedule and recovering well.

Somesh
Month and Year of Birth: Feb 2015
In February 2017, Somesh, 2year old boy presented to NN. Evaluated by Dr. Roshmi and diagnosed the case as B/L retinoblastoma with group E in the right eye and group C in the left eye. Dr. Rosmi has advised for an MRI, chemotherapy, focal laser as further treatment.
Father, Mr. Mahesh is working as a farm laborer at Belgaum Dist and Mother Mrs. Komal is a housewife. Parents were able to afford to pay the initial diagnosis like Evaluation under GA and MRI. Iksha Has been supporting his treatment thereafter.
So far, he received 6 cycles of Chemotherapy. His right was enucleated after 2 cycles of chemo as it did not respond well for the treatment but Left responded well. He received 6th cycle of chemo in July which was the last cycle as per the plan.

Dikshith
Month and Year of Birth: Oct 2016
In April 2017, Dikshith who was 6 months old, son of a farmworker and a housewife from Mangalore, presented to us with poor eye contact and white reflex noticed by parents for one week.
MRI was done on 24/04/17 at Narayana Netralaya which showed bilateral Retinoblastoma.
So far, He received 5 cycles of chemo, cryo and responding well to the treatment.
As a result, he is now able to recognize objects and trying to hold the same when presented in front of him, which proves significant improvement in his vision.

Devaraj
Month and Year of Birth: January 2015
Devaraj was born in January 2015 and was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma in May 2016.
His father Mr. Shivraju is a driver and his mother is a housewife from Chitradurga.
When Devaraj was referred to Narayana Nethralaya his father had spent all his money on his treatment and had no money to take Devaraj for his MRI, the hospital then sought Iksha’s support.
Devaraj needs 6 cycles of chemotherapy and his left eye need to be enucleated. He also will be examined regularly under anesthesia to assess his progress from time to time.

Rashmi
Month and Year of Birth: November 1996
Rashmi is our oldest fighter. She was diagnosed with Bilateral Retinoblastoma and her one eye was enucleated. Her custom-made prosthetics is completed; she is in remission and is clinically followed up.
She is perusing her BA in Bangalore and we also support her education.

Sridhar
Month and Year of Birth: January 2016
Sridhar, was 5 months old when he was referred to us in May 2016. He was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma and underwent an examination under anesthesia and was advised 6 cycles of chemotherapy, focal laser and enucleation of left eye after completion of chemo.
His father Mr. Subramani is a working as a coolie and his mother Mrs. Bhavya is a housewife. His Parents managed to pay for the initial diagnosis but require financial assistance for further treatment and Iksha has been supporting them since.
Sridhar's cancerous eye was enucleated in August 2016. He will be continuing with few more cycles of chemotherapy.

Priyanka
Month and Year of Birth: Feb 2001
Priyanka is 15 years old and was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma in an eye camp and referred to Narayana Netralaya in May 2016. Her uncle who is a school teacher in Bangalore has been taking care of her since childhood as her parents are unable to look after her.
She was examined under anesthesia. She received Plaque brachytherapy with intravitreal Topotecan injection or Intra Arterial chemotherapy.

Manasa
Month and Year of Birth: December 2013
Manasa is a 2-year-old child, who suffered from swelling in her left eye and was referred to Prabha eye clinic. She underwent MRI, Bone marrow aspiration and Biopsy and was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma. She was then directed for a few cycles of Chemo at Shri Sankara Hospital. Her parents Mr. Lokesh and Mrs. Shwetha are financial not very sound and they were looking for support. Iksha started to support her treatment from March 2016.
Her right eye had to be enucleated after 6 cycles of chemotherapy. She is receiving focal laser and covering well.

Abhishiek
Month and Year of Birth: April 2014
Abhishiek is 3 years old and was referred last in the month of February 2016, he has been diagnosed with bilateral Retinoblastoma. His father Mr. Devendrappa works as an agricultural laborer and mother Mrs. Yellamma is a housewife.
Abhisheik has completed 3 rounds of chemo and His left eye was enucleated on the 1st of June 2016, he will be continuing with his 3 more rounds of chemo.
He will then be asked to visit the hospital regularly to do a routine check to ensure that cancer doesn't resurface.

Puneet Shailesh
Month and Year of Birth: Jan 2013
Puneet Shailesh was born on the 1st of November 2013, he was 2 year old when he was presented at Narayana Netralaya. He was diagnosed with unilateral retinoblastoma. His left eye was enucleated on 22.10.2015. His father Mr Suresh is building labor and mother Mrs Sukanya is housewife.
Punith has completed his 6 cycles of chemo and is examined under anesthesia. His last check up was on the 25th of May 2106, he is responding well and the tumor is inactive.
Jayaprakash
Month and Year of Birth: June 2015
Jayaprakash was only 4 months old when he was referred to Narayana Netralaya form Tamilnadu, he was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma (RE group A, LE group D). His parents are financially not strong, His father Mr.Saravanna is a daily wage worker and mother Mrs. Anitha is a homemaker. He was referred to Iksha on 30/10/2015.
He has received 6 cycles of chemo and focal laser every 3 weeks for 8 months. He has sight in both eyes and is one year old. His last examination shows no tumor activity, but he will come to the hospital regularly and he will be regularly monitored to ensure there is no relapse of the tumor.

Hithaishi
Hithaishi was presented to us on 18.11.2011 and was diagnosed with unilateral retinoblastoma with RE group E. Her right eye was enucleated as there was a presence of an advanced tumor. She is now coming for checkup once in 6 months now.
