In February 2017, his parents noticed a white reflex in his left eye. They visited Centre for Sight, and an MRI was done, the MRI showed that he had Unilateral Retinoblastoma. His left eye was enucleated post 2 cycles of chemotherapy. He then received 6 cycles of chemotherapy, 23 fractions of radiation and has recovered well. A custom-made prosthetic eye has been implanted to ensure social acceptance. He is now attending school and enjoying his childhood.
